What we collect

We only collect what is needed to run the site and reply to you.

  • What you send us — name, email address, organisation and the message if you write to us.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type and approximate location, collected automatically when you load a page.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, referring site and time on page, if analytics cookies are allowed. See the Cookie Policy.

Cookies

Essential cookies make the site work. Analytics cookies run only if you accept them. Full detail is on the Cookie Policy.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where a service has to process it for us:

  • the company that hosts the website
  • the email system that receives messages sent to us
  • analytics or security tools you have allowed through the cookie banner

Those providers may store data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on a lawful transfer tool such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

We will disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiry emails: up to 24 months after the last reply, then deleted unless we must keep them for a legal reason.
  • Server and security logs: normally up to 12 months.
  • Analytics records: according to the tool’s setting, and only while consent remains.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to our use of it, or receive a copy of it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. That does not affect use already made.

Write to info@passagebrief.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Children

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
